Graduate Planner or Planning Assistant seeking to enhance and grow their career within the East Anglian area.
Local authority or private consultancy experienced, but most importantly you have a positive cando approach and are willing to test your capabilities daily.
Reporting to the James Bailey Planning Ltd (JBPL) Directors, the post-holder will be responsible for the daily management of junior members of staff and work collaboratively on a wide range of projects as directed. As a Planner/Senior Planner you will establish and maintain a working schedule on all projects, that can be used to identify weekly tasks and key milestones.
Expert mentorship with East Anglia’s leading planning Director – you will develop and grow fast here, experience counts.
Varied and exciting national workload – you will have responsibility under guidance, learning faster and developing your knowledge earlier than most
Flexible and adaptable work life balance – everyones different, we support you!
Above average salaries and bonus scheme – because inflation is going one way!
Excellent location and transport links – a stone throw from the town centre and we even have parking!
I have an intuitive feeling about the future of this firm. A quiet confidence that, despite being relatively new and opening it’s doors pre-pandemic, you get a sense of calm and assurance with certainty, especially when you listen to James, the director who oozes credibility; that things will turn out more than just fine

A quiet confidence that, despite being relatively new and opening it’s doors pre-pandemic, you get a sense of calm and assurance with certainty, especially when you listen to James, the director who oozes credibility; that things will turn out more than just fine.
A natural director with a passion and energy for all things planning, armed with a desire to stabilise or make simple sense of an otherwise murky world of planning is obvious in every conversation. He just gets it and it’s hard to disagree.
The buzz is exciting, fresh and those seeking expert tutelage early on in their employment will struggle to find better guidance or input into their career development. Getting in early at this firm will see careers and salaries rise quickly.
I’d happily recommend this firm to any planner or senior planner seeking to absorb the full breadth of planning and subsequent responsibilities early on.
